Web Developer Stuff
February 5, 2009 by: B.HardingIf you’re like me you surf for solutions to problems that crop up while developing. Almost always I see a solution on the first page of Google results pointing to a solution at Expert Exchange. It never fails. Rather than shell out my hard earned cash I just keep searching.
While reading the latest issue of 2600 magazine I came across a letter that put a smile on my face. It explained that Expert Exchange lets the googlebot read the entire private solution. This information is obscured from normal visitors.
So how do normal people get to see it? Just click “Cached version” instead of the live link! It’s sort of mangled but the info is there. I expect this little gem of info will cut my research time in half.
Enjoy!
