Excel macro insert row below the current cell

October 31, 2012 by: B.Harding

This is a tweak that saves me some time.

Sub InsertRowBelow()
'
' InsertRow Macro
'
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+I
'
Dim rw
rw = Selection.Row 'get the original row
col = Selection.Column 'get the original column

Rows(rw + 1 & ":" & rw + 1 ).Select 'select the row below
Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown, CopyOrigin:=xlFormatFromLeftOrAbove ' insert a row

ActiveSheet.Cells(rw , col).Select 'return to the original cell
End Sub
